Respect Massage: Empowering Safe & Professional Practice

Respect Massage is a movement brought to you by Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). Its mission is to protect massage therapists from individuals who behave inappropriately and empower them to confidently navigate client interactions. Here’s what Respect Massage stands for:

1. Educate and Empower: Respect Massage educates massage therapists on how to spot and deter inappropriate behavior. By trusting our instincts and following safety tips, we can create a secure practice environment.

2. Clear Boundaries: We celebrate all the amazing aspects of massage while setting clear boundaries about what massage isn’t. Nothing inappropriate. Period.

3. Community Support: By joining the #RespectMassage movement, we uplift the profession collectively. We share resources, learn from each other, and eliminate the stigma surrounding massage therapy.

I am proud to be a member of Respect Massage. I have completed the CE course, earning my certificate of completion. This training equips me with the knowledge and tools to confidently handle any situation, ensuring my clients’ safety and well-being.
